The responsibility of ASID Foundation in today's world is more important than ever. The Foundation, formed in 1975, had a mission focused on supporting ASID education, and student scholarships and development. Many of these programs continue on with great success.

Over the last few years, the Foundation has stepped up its responsibility to go beyond serving its membership and interior design. In addition to the existing programs, we now have a responsibility as interior designers to develop and support programs in our communities. No other profession has a greater impact on the lives of people than interior design. This can only be accomplished through the generosity of ASID members, chapters, families and individuals. Your financial contribution through annual gifts at all levels can make the difference to many lives.

Your Foundation responsibility moving forward is to develop and support projects, research and programs that capture and disseminate knowledge, encourage innovation and benefit the health, safety and welfare of the public. Sustainability has many definitions for the Foundation. We have a responsibility to the health of our world, to create healthy environments for our clients and a responsibility for the preservation of our profession through student development and research.
